A Letter From Our President
Welcome to All!
"Building on Tradition, 150 years"
"The sun is a-rising to welcome the day,
Heigh Ho! Come to the Fair!..."
This ballad was written
so long ago but fits so appropriately to welcome all of you
to our 150th Howick-Turnberry Fall Fair!
I would like to take this opportunity to send a huge thanks
to all the dedicated volunteers that make our fair possible.
Without the fair committees, directors and our secretary/
treasurer, this event would never happen. Thanks to each one of you!
Also thank you to all the generous businesses and individuals
who donate money and gifts for the Chinese auctions, and for
the prizes received by our exhibitors.
Last but not least, how could a fair occur without the great
handiwork of the exhibitors? Their creativity and time
consuming entries truly make the fair. A big thanks to each of you.
I hope you all enjoy the activities this 150th Fair has to offer.So, as the ballad sings;
"... There'll be racing and chasing
from morning to night,
And roundabouts turning
to left and to right,
So it's come then,
young folks and old,
To the fair in the
Pride of the morning,
So lock up your house,
There'll be plenty of fun,
And it's Heigh ho!
Come to the Fair!"
